BALTIMORE, May 2, 2012 – US Lacrosse today announced 16 of the best high school boys’ and girls’ lacrosse coaches in the country to lead the eight teams at the 2012 Champion All-American Showcase, a US Lacrosse high school all-star event featuring nearly 200 of the nation’s top players. US Lacrosse returns the Champion All-American Showcase to the 2012 ESPNHS Games presented by GNC, July 22-27 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
US Lacrosse fielded a large pool of applicants from coaches around the country. US Lacrosse High School Area Chairmen nominated the boys’ coaches, who were selected by the US Lacrosse High School All-American Advisory Team. The girls’ coaches submitted applications to a national women’s game selection committee, which then made final selections.
The boys’ and girls’ divisions each will separate Champion All-American Showcase players onto four teams, which will compete in a round-robin format prior to championship and consolation games on the event’s final day.
The girls’ showcase takes place July 22-24, and the championship game will be streamed on ESPN3.com. Girls’ showcase coaches and high school teams:
