What attracted you to US Lacrosse?
The opportunity to make a positive, lasting impact on the growth of the sport throughout the United States and beyond; the opportunity for professional growth as an educator.

When and how were you first introduced to the game?
When I was a 10-year old, my mom drove past a sign introducing lacrosse in my town and, on a whim, signed up my younger sister. My mom played field hockey, so they recruited her to coach. Being really into art at the time, I spent my first season on the sidelines drawing pictures. Eventually I got tired of staying on the sidelines, so I put down the drawing paper and picked up a stick. Lacrosse has been my passion ever since.

What is the name of your favorite lacrosse team?
I’m a huge Ohio State buckeyes fan – for football. You can’t grow up in Columbus, Ohio and not be. O-H!

Do you have any hidden talents?
I can still do a front handspring. That’s how I judge my fitness level. The day I am too scared to do one will be a very sad day!

What’s one thing most people would not know about you?
I double-majored in Spanish in college. Don’t ask me to translate now, though.

What are the three things you can’t live without?
iPhone, ice cream, and spin classes.

What’s your ideal Saturday?
Sleeping in, going for a long run or hitting the gym, and then hanging out with friends, exploring all the mid-atlantic region has to offer. I love to travel, too.

What is your lifetime fitness goal?
To qualify and run in the Boston Marathon. I’ll get there eventually.

What is your favorite book?
A Course In Miracles, by author Gabrielle Bernstein. She is a great spiritual leader for my generation.

What was your childhood dream job?
I’ve always wanted to work at US Lacrosse. No joke. Walking around constantly with the worn-out free mug I got at convention one year finally paid off!

Where in the world would you like to take a two-week-long, all-expense-paid vacation?
Anywhere in South America. I went to Peru on a study abroad trip in college. I’d love to go back again and really explore.
