At US Lacrosse since:
Virginia Tech, B.S., 2005
Event Manager, US Lacrosse

What attracted you to US Lacrosse?
Erin Sturgis, the former director of chapters, worked here. I always thought she was a pretty cool girl back in the days of Arundel High School, so I figured USL had to be a cool place to be and work. And we’re located in Baltimore which is where I wanted to work, per a college crush, and they were hiring for an exact position I was after as Event Manager. It turns out Sturgis is just as cool, I have been here for over five years, I married the college crush and now I am the accountant. I’d say it was a good move!
Who is your all-time favorite athlete?
Cal Ripken Jr.. I ditched a day in seventh grade to watch his parade when he broke the consecutive games record. I got the chance to ride an elevator with him when he spoke at the 2009 US Lacrosse National Convention. USL makes dreams come true!
What’s your hometown?
Crofton, Md. – home of the snakehead!
What sports do you play/did you used to play?
Soccer, softball and basketball. I got cut my senior year in high school from softball. I wish I would have switched to lacrosse when I was younger! Nowadays I like to participate in various running races and punish myself in boot camp style classes. I enjoy going down to the Inner Harbor and pretend I am running for miles somewhere in California.
What are the three things you can’t live without?
Chapstick, my iPod, and sunglasses.
Where in the world (or out of this world) would you like to take a two-week-long, all-expense-paid vacation?
Maui, Hawaii for sure. I would be happy to never see another place if I could go back there.
