Educational Tracks for Coaches: The Building Blocks of Success
US Lacrosse has aligned the educational tracks of the convention with the age-appropriate offerings of the US Lacrosse Coaching Education Program (CEP). Have a look at the summaries below:

U9/U11 Coaches: Skills and Drills to Develop Success
This track’s focus is on player and coaching development. Learn how to improve your coaching skills in the areas of practice planning, on-field practice management and player development. Coaches will learn how to teach players to develop solid fundamentals and how to implement tactics to enhance their teams’ play. Sessions in this track will focus on helping coaches develop a plan to build on throughout the season with their teams.

U13/U15 Coaches: Skills, Drills and Field Play to Build Success
This track will move players and coaches beyond basic skill acquisition. Coaches will learn how to practice more advanced tactics and to implement them in game strategy. Coaches will learn how to blend the mental approach and fitness into their practices. How to use assistant coaches, how to develop players in specific positions (goalies, faceoff midfielders, defenders, attackers) and how to develop skills and drills for riding, clearing, dodging and shooting also will be covered in this track.

High School Coaches: Play and Tactics to Create Success
This track is specific for all levels of high school play, both varsity and junior varsity. Coaches will learn techniques specifically to work with high school-level players, including how to develop high-level stick skills which will allow coaches to implement advanced levels of play and how to work with JV and freshman teams to build a solid program that develops players. Learn methods to correct errors and implement strategies that enhance play. Learn how to game plan against specific opponents. Top coaches will share their methods with attendees. Learn how to develop high-level shooters and dodgers, how to win whistles, how to play a high-pressure defense and how to help players get the most out of themselves in key situations.

Premiere High School Coaches: Methods to Master Success
US Lacrosse is excited to roll out this new track at the 2013 convention. A limited number of sessions will be offered, addressing specific high-level high school/elite team tactics. Learn advanced methods of player and team development and how to plan practices over your season to address this high level of play. Top-level coaches will share methods, drills and theories behind this type of player development. Learn how to work on player fitness, mental ability and overall performance under physical and mental pressure.
