BALTIMORE — Boys’ Latin (Md.) enters 2014 at No. 1 in the preseason Nike/US Lacrosse High School Boys’ Lacrosse National Top 25. The Top 25 appears as part of Lacrosse Magazine’s weekly report on high school boys’ lacrosse at

Boys’ Latin held the top spot for much of 2013 before falling in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference championship game to Loyola Blakefield (Md.), and the Lakers’ roster includes 19 players who have committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse.

Haverford School (Pa.) comes in at No. 2 after taking the Inter-Ac Invitational title a year ago, with Culver Military Academy (Ind.) following after an 18-2 season. CHSAA runner-up St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) and IAC regular-season champion Georgetown Prep (Md.) round out the Top 5.

Seven states and Washington, D.C., are represented in the Nike/US Lacrosse National Top 25, which will be updated weekly throughout the high school season.
