US Lacrosse seeks to foster a national lacrosse community that encourages understanding, appreciation and acceptance of all within its membership, volunteer base, and staff. Further, US Lacrosse believes that broad representation and participation add significant value to the lacrosse experience of each of us, and that these valued experiences are enhanced by embracing underrepresented and underserved communities.
- Official US Lacrosse Inclusion Statement
What is Diversity and Inclusion?
Diversity: (noun) -- having a wide range of differences among people from various races, nationalities, religions and sexes in a group or organization.
Inclusion: (verb/action) -- a proactive culture of understanding and acceptance that makes each person feel welcome and part of the team or organization.
Diversity and inclusion is not just about race, and diversity doesn't automatically mean inclusion.
A diverse team recognizes the differences of each coach and player. An inclusive team values those differences.
