NTDP Combine Coming to US Lacrosse Aug. 19-23

US Lacrosse has invited nearly 300 high school-age (U15 and U17) athletes from 27 states to compete in the first-ever National Team Development Program Combine Aug. 19-23 at its headquarters in Sparks, Md.

Divided into separate three-day sessions for boys and girls, the combine will include on-field, strength and conditioning, recruiting and sport psychology training.

Canada Defeats U.S. 19-6 in Heritage Cup Exhibition

Four-time defending world indoor lacrosse champion Canada defeated the United States 19-6 in the Heritage Cup revival Saturday at First Ontario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario.

Curtis Dickson scored four goals, Shawn Evans and Ryan Benesch each added two goals and three assists, and Canada’s big-bodied defenders frequently forced the U.S. to settle for perimeter shots. Goalie Brandon Miller, a reserve on Canada’s gold-medal winning team in 2015 kept the U.S. at bay for most of the game.

Twenty-five days ago, the U.S. women’s national team departed from Dulles Airport in Washington, D.C., for training camp in England looking to make lacrosse history.
