In order to help prioritize its upcoming outreach strategies related to player equipment, US Lacrosse has created a short online survey to assess current equipment related knowledge.

Survey feedback from members will help shape US Lacrosse’s equipment related initiatives, including rules.

“US Lacrosse will use this two-minute survey as a means to determine consumer awareness of existing and upcoming equipment standards in lacrosse,” said Caitlin Kelley, women’s lacrosse director. “Also, collecting feedback about how our members find out about critical equipment-related changes will be helpful in shaping our communication strategies.”

“Equipment rules are an important part of both men’s and women’s lacrosse because they help to keep players safe,” said Rick Lake, men’s lacrosse director. “As part of our mission at US Lacrosse, we want to ensure that players, coaches, parents and officials are up-to-date on the equipment rules and certifications required. The feedback on the survey will help us in sharing important information with our members.”

The rules of lacrosse govern games and the equipment used. US Lacrosse works cooperatively with both the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and the NCAA to write the rules for lacrosse, and the organizations often work together on rule development and player safety issues.
