SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse is pleased to announce a multi-year partnership with Gilman Gear to be the “Official Goal” of US Lacrosse and a supporting partner of the U.S. National Teams.

“Our partnership with Gilman Gear is a win-win for the entire lacrosse community,” said Tom Pope, Director of Corporate Partnerships at US Lacrosse. “Gilman brings an innovative design to an often-overlooked part of the game. The game has evolved in so many ways and we’re happy to have an “Official Goal” partner that cares so much about improving the game and training experience. A key element of the partnership provides member value by which US Lacrosse members will receive a special discount on goal and field equipment purchased through Gilman, and US Lacrosse will also have a substantial inventory of goals to provide new and emerging lacrosse programs through various grants that help grow the game in underserved areas.”

“We are excited and honored to be selected as the “Official Goal” of US Lacrosse” said Neil Gilman, CEO of Gilman Gear. “This designation recognizes the excellence in design and engineering that is manifested in the Gilman Lacrosse Goal. “Our mission was to build a ‘Best in Class’ Lacrosse Goal that offered many unique features such as the elimination of stringing, a folding base for easy storage and a heavy-duty reinforced net.

“We carefully researched what coaches wanted in a lacrosse goal. Universally, they wanted us to eliminate the drudgery of stringing. They wanted a rugged and durable cage that is easy to set up and breaks down for off-season storage. And they wanted a lacrosse net that can take a pounding. The Gilman Goal achieves all these objectives!”

Recently, Gilman announced additional upgrades for its lacrosse goal including a logo option that places a digitally printed logo on the front and back of the net and the exclusive “Armor Coated” net that offers an acrylic coating that significantly extends the life of the lacrosse net.

The Gilman Goal is compliant with NCAA and National Federation of State High School Association (NFHS) rules. In recognition of its innovative design, the Gilman Lacrosse Goal was awarded a US Patent in 2018. As part of the agreement, Gilman Lacrosse Goals will be used at the US Lacrosse headquarters complex in Sparks, Md., and for all US Lacrosse competitions.
