Just prior to participating in the Team USA Fall Classic Oct. 7-8 at Tierney Field, Paul Rabil stopped by US Lacrosse to offer help in promoting the organization’s annual convention and fan fest. He’s become a big supporter of LaxCon, which is set for Jan. 19-21, 2018, at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Rabil’s popularity among younger players remains unquestioned, whether the space be digital or LaxCon’s live field, to which his Saturday demonstration has drawn large crowds since it began a few years ago.

It’s his increasing role with kids that’s allowed him to play the role of coach more frequently. The topic during his visit turned to coaching, and Rabil spoke with heart about the roles coaches play, the responsibilities they bear, and the opportunities — including LaxCon — they have to improve their all-important craft.

Registration for the full LaxCon weekend starts at $90, and Fan Fast tickets (valid for the expo hall only, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 20) start at $10. Click below for more information.

Tomorrow Rabil will play under veteran box lacrosse coaches Regy Thorpe and Tony Resch for the U.S. indoor team in the Heritage Cup against rival Canada. Faceoff from FirstOntario Center is 7 p.m. ET, and streaming info is here.
