Kylie Ohlmiller shares her knowledge before a big crowd during the US Lacrosse Convention in Philadelphia on Jan. 11

PHILADELPHIA — Another crowd of approximately 7,000 lacrosse enthusiasts gathered in Philadelphia this weekend for the annual US Lacrosse Convention. Whether they came to learn from some of the game’s brightest minds or to get their picture taken with the sport’s biggest stars there was one common theme — a love of lacrosse.

Here’s a look at some of the memorable moments from LaxCon2020:

Quotable

"This is what we need as a lacrosse community — you give back because of what was given to you." — men's lacrosse official Michael Hyland

Quotable

"You can’t expect your players to execute in tight spaces unless they practice it." — Northwestern and 2019 U.S. women’s U19 head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller

Quotable

"We do not want teams that are obedient. Obedience doesn’t lead to innovation. As leaders, we have to give to a point where we’re uncomfortable." — Whipsnakes head coach Jim Stagnitta

Quotable

"The fundaments and structure is black and white. The freedom and fun is in the gray." — Duke and U.S. men's senior team head coach John Danowski

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone again next year for LaxCon2021 in Baltimore (Jan 15-17, 2021).
