SPARKS, Md. — NCAA championship coaches Cathy Reese and Lars Tiffany will be two of the featured speakers at the 2020 US Lacrosse Convention in Philadelphia.

The US Lacrosse Convention runs from Jan. 10-12 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and Reese and Tiffany will help kick off the festivities with presentations on Friday, Jan. 10. Following their presentations, a networking event will be held for attendees to help strengthen professional and lacrosse connections.

The convention, featuring more than 120 sessions for coaches, officials and organizational leaders, is the sport’s largest professional development conference and industry trade show, drawing more than 7,000 participants annually.

Registration for the convention starts at $135 for the general public and just $95 for US Lacrosse members through Oct. 31, 2019. There is an additional $10 discount per registration for groups of four or more US Lacrosse members signing up together.

Reese, who will be inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame this October, is in the midst of a historic run as the head coach at her alma mater, the University of Maryland. In 13 seasons at Maryland, she has compiled a record of 270-22 while winning five national championships, including a win over Boston College in the 2019 final. The winningest coach in Maryland history, she has a record of 301-51 overall in 16 seasons as a collegiate head coach.

This past spring, in his third year as the head coach at the University of Virginia, Tiffany led the Cavaliers to the NCAA championship over reigning champion Yale. It capped a season in which the Cavaliers tied a school record with 17 wins. Tiffany, who led Brown to the NCAA semifinals in 2016 before taking the Virginia job, has a record of 150-85 in 15 seasons as a college head coach.
