The spirit of the Olympic Movement is coming to US Lacrosse Headquarters as part of the celebration of Olympic Day on June 30.

The US Lacrosse celebration of Olympic Day is one of nearly 2,000 events taking part nationwide during the month of June. Created in 1948, Olympic Day commemorates the birth of the modern Olympic Games and celebrates sport, as well as the ideals of fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship.

US Lacrosse Olympic Day Schedule of Events

10:00 AM: Opening Ceremony on Tierney Field with US Lacrosse CEO, Steve Stenersen, and Olympic Slalom Canoeist, Ashley Nee.

10:30 AM – 11:30 AM: LADM Clinic for boys and girls, ages 8-12

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: US Lacrosse Wall Ball Challenge

12:30 PM: Closing Ceremonies and Women’s National Team Send-Off with US Lacrosse Director of High Performance, Kevin Ankrom, and Women’s National Team Goalie, Gussie Johns

“Olympic Day is an opportunity to be a part of something powerful that crosses national borders, languages, and a variety of sports,” said Beth Mahr, manager of diversity & inclusion at US Lacrosse. “As a growing sport in the international market, US Lacrosse is excited to involve the lacrosse community in celebrating and encouraging all to move, learn, and discover.” 

Tours of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame will also be available throughout the morning.
