SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse today announced a schedule of more than 60 college and high school lacrosse games to take place at Tierney Field on its campus during the spring 2019 season (view schedule).

The slate begins with three NCAA games during the weekend of Feb. 16-17, including a noon Sunday matchup between defending Division I women’s champion James Madison and Connecticut. Six Division I games highlight the schedule; among them, a March 17 men’s game between North Carolina and Cleveland State.

High school teams from seven states and Washington, D.C., will play at Tierney Field this spring. The Baltimore County Public Schools will contest its boys’ and girls’ championship and all-star games in May. Following those, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association and the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association senior all-star games will take place May 24 and June 1, respectively.

“We’re very excited to welcome teams and fans from around the country to our campus,” Jody Martin, senior manager of facilities at US Lacrosse, said. “Tierney Field is an intimate setting for a game, and fans will enjoy walks on Chris Sailer Trail and through the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame and Museum during their visit.”

Tierney Field can accommodate 2,000 via bleacher and grass seating. The venue features stadium lights, a scoreboard, public address system, two team locker rooms and a GreenFields synthetic turf.

Seating is first-come, first-served, and fans may bring collapsible camping/tailgating chairs and blankets for hillside/grass areas. Prohibited items include: alcohol, dogs and other animals, lacrosse balls, glass containers, smoking, tents and umbrellas. Admission is free for the majority of games at Tierney Field.

On gamedays, the hall of fame and museum, located inside the adjacent IWLCA Building, will open one hour prior to game time and close 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game. There is no charge to tour the hall of fame and museum.
