Since the 2020 high school lacrosse season has now been canceled in almost all parts of the country due to the coronavirus pandemic, US Lacrosse regrettably announces today that it will not award its boys’ and girls’ high school All-America Award, All-Academic Award, and Coach of the Year Award in 2020.

The disruption of play and limited number of games completed nationally made it impossible to maintain the criteria and standards for the award on a national level.

At the same time, US Lacrosse is pleased to announce that both the Jackie Pitts Award for high school girls and the Bob Scott Award for high school boys will still be awarded. Online nominations for both awards are being accepted through June 5.

The Jackie Pitts Award and Bob Scott Award recognize high school seniors who go above and beyond in service to their team, school, and community. These athletes, who truly honor the game of lacrosse, are invested in the development of the game in their town and are exemplary teammates. In addition, they must be outstanding students with high academic achievement and serve as role models within their school community.

US Lacrosse encourages individuals to visit www.uslacrosse.org or our social media sites for further updates or information about our programs and services, including the ongoing Impact Athletes initiative that recognizes outstanding high school community leaders.
