SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse today opened applications for the position of head coach of the U.S. women’s national team. The appointee will serve a four-year term and will coach Team USA in the 2021 Federation of International Lacrosse World Cup and other international and domestic events.

The contractual, paid position reports to the US Lacrosse director of high performance. Primary responsibilities include selecting, training and coaching Team USA at designated events, selecting three assistant coaches, planning and organizing practices, conducting clinics, assisting with sponsor and donor relations, and serving as a positive spokesperson for women’s lacrosse.

The U.S. women’s national team is coming off championship performances in the FIL World Cup and the International World Games, the latter representing the first appearance of lacrosse in that event.
