SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse today announced finalized details for the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League championship game, set for Saturday, July 14, at Tierney Field on the national governing body’s campus.

Draw time is 5 p.m. ET. Gates open 30 minutes prior. The final will pit the winners of Thursday’s semifinal doubleheader at West Chester University in suburban Philadelphia: second-seeded New England will play third-seeded Upstate at 3 p.m., followed by top-seeded Baltimore against fourth-seeded New York.

Individual ticket for $20

Team ticket, admission for up to 20 players and coaches at the same time, for $100 (an average of as little as $5 per person)

“We’re delighted to welcome back the WPLL and women’s lacrosse fans to Tierney Field,” Jody Martin, senior manager of facilities at US Lacrosse, said. “In addition to enjoying the excitement of the championship, fans will be able to experience the history and history-makers of the women’s game by touring the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame and Museum and the Chris Sailer Trail on our campus.”

Players from both teams will sign autographs for fans after the on-field trophy presentation.

Tierney Field features a state-of-the-art GreenFields MX Trimension woven turf and sits adjacent to the IWLCA Building, which houses US Lacrosse staff and operations. The field was named in honor of current University of Denver coach Bill Tierney by his past players. Tierney has won a combined seven national championships at Princeton and Denver. He coached the U.S. team to a world championship in 1998, and he was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2002.

Tierney Field capacity is 1,500, inclusive of bleacher seating for about 500. All seating is first-come, first-served, and fans may bring collapsible camping/tailgating chairs and blankets for hillside/grass areas. Prohibited items include: alcohol, dogs and other animals, lacrosse balls, glass containers, smoking, tents and umbrellas. Parking is free but limited. Overflow parking will be directed to lots at Firaxis Games, located next to US Lacrosse.
