The U.S. men’s and women’s national teams pulled off a sweep of Canada on the opening night of the 2019 Fall Classic.

In the nightcap, Joe Nardella capped a four-goal comeback for the U.S. men, scoring the game-winner with just 19.6 seconds to play in a 7-6 victory.

Will Manny scored twice in the fourth quarter and assisted Nardella on the game-winner to pace the U.S. offense while Connor Kelly had a goal and two assists. Patrick Stevens has more from the game.

In the opener, Canada went toe-to-toe with the U.S. women, trailing just 4-3 at halftime, but the offense broke out in a big way in the second half. The U.S. scored on 12 of its 14 second half shots and posted a 16-4 victory.

Kylie Ohlmiller scored four goals, all of them in the second half, to pace the U.S. offense and Sam Apuzzo had four assists.
