It’s been a little more than a week since LaxCon wrapped in Philadelphia, but the stream of content and comments coming out of the annual professional development conference and trade show hasn’t abated.

The US Lacrosse Convention and Fan Fest drew 7,385 participants to the Pennsylvania Convention Center and adjacent Philadelphia Marriott Downtown Jan. 11-13, marking the third straight year and fifth of six that total attendance exceeded 7,000 — the historic snowstorm in 2016 in Baltimore representing the lone exception.

Here’s a follow-up to the Jan. 13 #LaxCon2019 wrap-up blog, with more highlights and rave reviews.

Quotables

“The great thing about attending LaxCon is that you may never know what you’ll learn, but you know that you will learn.” —Steve Talbert, Morristown, N.J., boys’ coach

“Friday, the zone defense session with the staff from Old Bridge (N.J.) High School was awesome. It was packed. Saturday, my favorite was the Franklin and Marshall coaches on the STX Live Field. You could stay on the live fields all day, there’s so much there.” —Claire Berg, Vienna, Va., girls’ coach

“I really enjoyed it. I’m so glad that US Lacrosse brought me here. People here are really passionate about lacrosse and others I’ve spoken with are really passionate about soccer. The multi-sport crossover, I saw a lot of that.” —Briana Scurry, keynote speaker

“It was a terrific and seamless event. We had a lot of traffic at our location and were able not only to educate a lot of attendees there, but also make some solid connections to direct our melanoma awareness and education programs to athletic trainers, athletes and parents.” —Claire Marie Foundation, first-time exhibitor in expo hall
