U.S. Men to Open FIL World Championship Against Iroquois Nationals

The Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) released the schedule for the 2018 FIL Men's World Championship to the competing nations this week and the United States will open its schedule against the Iroquois Nationals on Thursday, July 12. This year's event will be held in Netanya, Israel and will feature a record 48 nations competing in the field.

U.S. Men's Team to Play in MLL All-Star Game

Major League Lacrosse announced today that the 2018 MLL All-Star game will feature the U.S. men’s national team competing against a team of MLL All-Stars. The game will be played on Thursday, June 28 at Harvard Stadium.

“We are happy to bring the All-Star Game back to one of the most storied athletic venues in the country in Harvard Stadium,” MLL Commissioner Alexander Brown said. “Boston has hosted some of the greatest games in the history of MLL and we are excited to add to the rich lacrosse tradition here in Boston.”

Just prior to participating in the Team USA Fall Classic Oct. 7-8 at Tierney Field, Paul Rabil stopped by US Lacrosse to offer help in promoting the organization’s annual convention and fan fest. He’s become a big supporter of LaxCon, which is set for Jan. 19-21, 2018, at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Rabil’s popularity among younger players remains unquestioned, whether the space be digital or LaxCon’s live field, to which his Saturday demonstration has drawn large crowds since it began a few years ago.
