US Lacrosse Announces Medical Staffs for Three Teams

Karen Sutton will serve as the head physician for the 2021 U.S. Women's Senior Team. Sutton, a three-year captain at Duke, was also on the medical staff for the 2017 U.S. team.

Four-time defending world indoor lacrosse champion Canada defeated the United States 19-6 in the Heritage Cup revival Saturday at First Ontario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario.

Curtis Dickson scored four goals, Shawn Evans and Ryan Benesch each added two goals and three assists, and Canada’s big-bodied defenders frequently forced the U.S. to settle for perimeter shots. Goalie Brandon Miller, a reserve on Canada’s gold-medal winning team in 2015 kept the U.S. at bay for most of the game.

Just prior to participating in the Team USA Fall Classic Oct. 7-8 at Tierney Field, Paul Rabil stopped by US Lacrosse to offer help in promoting the organization’s annual convention and fan fest. He’s become a big supporter of LaxCon, which is set for Jan. 19-21, 2018, at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Rabil’s popularity among younger players remains unquestioned, whether the space be digital or LaxCon’s live field, to which his Saturday demonstration has drawn large crowds since it began a few years ago.
