Building for the future
Box lacrosse continues to play a bigger role in the American lacrosse scene and the U.S. national team looks to be at the center of that growth. At the most recent world championship in 2019, the U.S. captured a bronze medal, narrowly falling to the Haudenosaunee Nationals in the semifinals before bouncing back to beat England in the bronze medal game.
USA Lacrosse is now building towards the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships. Regy Thorpe was selected to come back for a second stint as head coach and the team will hold a training camp in Utica, N.Y. in September 2023 to assist with the player evaluation process.
